Question: I was thinking about going to smu when I graduate but I'm not sure I would like the business program. I did go to an open house but I still feel like I don't have a clear idea on what actual things you do while studying business. Sorry for the unspecific question also

Answer: Your first two years of the Commerce program introduce you to the many majors of the Commerce faculty. You cover topics such as accounting, computing information systems, finance, marketing, economics, and management. A lot of Commerce students don’t really know where they want to go when they enter the program. These first two introductory years give you enough background to decide where you would like to go, if you decide to stick with Commerce. You also get to take free electives. These electives can also help you decide if you want to stay in the Commerce program.
