Question: If a course is labelled "full year course" am I obliged to take it in two semesters one after the other or can I take the first part one semester and the other part some other semester throughout my four years.

Answer: Hey! Thanks for submitting your question on through. Unfortunately, yes, when you register for a full year course you are obligated to take it in 2 consecutive semesters. This is due to a few things such as the same prof might not be teaching it again or the syllabus may change. Think about it this way, it is not necessarily broken into 2 semesters, but rather extended out over a full year and therefore there is not always a clear divide that would allow you to "jump back in" at any point. That being said, if it is a serious problem of yours, it doesnt hurt to email the prof and see if they can help you work through your problem.
