Answer: Hello, You should talk to security at smu, they would likely be the ones to address matters like this. I know there are cameras everywhere and you could ask them to look at the cameras if you know about the right time it was stolen and where. This is a case of stolen property so if you are feeling ok about doing so then you could justifiably call the police about it. You should however be emailing your professors and trying to recover the information you lost on your computer, likely slides are posted on brightspace and other details can be addressed by your professor in terms of missing work! There is free access to computers and printers at the library and atrium which will have to do until you are able to recover your missing computer. ☹On a side note, if you have important information about accounts and bank accounts then you might want to start resetting some accounts or changing passwords to things. I am sorry that you are going through this so close to exams. I hope you do well and get your computer back!
