Question: Hi -- I am wondering if I retake a course I got a B- in and then say got an A-, would the better grade replace the lower one? Thanks, Tobias

Answer: Hi Tobias. Both grades would still be present on your academic transcript, but only the most recent would be calculated towards your GPA. That being said, if you happened to get a C, that would be counted instead of the B-. It would be best to contact your academic advisor, as some programs do not allow you to retake a course that you have already passed.
