Question: hi there, I'm majoring in psychology bachelor of arts, but in some of my Psychology major courses I got a grade of -C, my question is would a grade of 1.70 point average be accepted in my major program? thank you hope to hear back from you

Answer: Great question. While a C- isn't the end of the world, the required cGPA (cumulative grade point average) is a C, or 2.0 GPA. This means that all of the psych courses you take while at SMU need to average out to a C grade. A C- is close enough that a few Bs should be able to balance it out in the end. However, if you feel you need to improve the grade, you can always take the course again at another time in order to secure the required cGPA. Best of luck this semester!!
