SMUdent Bio

Program & Major: I am a second year student in a Bachelor of Arts. I am double majoring in Anthropology and International Development Studies with a minor in French.

Why I chose SMU: I came to Saint Mary’s because it felt like the best fit for me! I grew up near Peggy’s Cove so I knew I wanted to stay in Halifax. I also chose Saint Mary’s for our amazing international exchange and travel opportunities. I will be going to Angers, France next summer.

Involvement on campus: I am a student employee in the Service Centre and the Centre of Academic Technologies. I am a member of the French Society and the Conflict Resolution Society, with whom I will be traveling to Northern Ireland to facilitate workshops with Peaceful Schools International.

Saint Mary’s is a strong and supportive community. The campus is small enough that I can get to know my professors and not feel overwhelmed, but big enough that there is always new people to meet and new opportunities to grow!

I can’t wait to hear from you and answer your questions!
