Question: If you've been accepted into res and have your room # and deposit paid can you move in without having your "rent"? Student loan was supposed to come in today but hasn't and it's move in day.

Answer: Hi, if you have paid your deposit which means you have secured a spot in the residence. Also, since you know your room # it is fine to move in without having your rent at the moment. The key is to pay the rent anytime in the month of move in because your rent is already added to your student account which means as long as you pay it soon enough you should be good. If you have any doubts you can always email residence.life@smu.ca for further details. Lets hope your student loan arrives soon!
