Question: How early can an international student arrive to residence? Thank you!

Answered by: Lawson
Answer: Great question! We don't want you to come too early and be left without a place to live! Residence has a specific move-in date for a majority of the people who are staying in campus housing. This date is typically around the beginning of September so that students have a week or so to settle in before classes begin. You should have received an email containing your room placement package. This package would provide specific details like this and other valuable information. If you have received that package, I'd recommend looking it over! If not, no need to worry, you can give a call to the Centre of Housing and Residence Life (902-420-5598) or email them (residence.life@smu.ca) and they can help provide more detail than I could!! Good luck and we'll see you in September!!
