Question: What do you call the legal officer that writes up wills and contracts. Not a lawyer.Notary?.

Answered by: Brooke
Answer: Hi Lionel, Very interesting question! I was speaking with a retired judge who told me, "All lawyers are notaries, but not all notaries are lawyers". Both are able to assist in writing and signing off wills or contracts to make them legal.
