Question: I am at loyola. My room is very small with no windows. How can i change my room for a more comfort one?

Answer: Hi Ophelie, It’s true that the room layouts differ from room to room and that your windows might feel smaller than those in other rooms. If you’re interested in changing your room, you need to get a “Room Change Request Form” from Housing & Conference Services. Their office is in LR 114, which can be found in the hallway leading from the Loyola Desk to the Dockside. However, please note that there is a blackout period at the start of the year where no room changes will happen. Once the blackout period is over, room change requests will be given out based on availability, meaning there is no guarantee your room change will be granted immediately. Another important thing to know is that if you’re currently living in a double room in Loyola North, your RA will have to conduct a roommate mediation between you and your roommate before you can apply for a room change. This is to ensure that there are no underlying issues between you two that are causing you to want to change rooms. Your RA can explain more about this process! Liz
