Question: Hi, I've been having quite a lot a trouble in on of my courses, which happens to be a Full Year course, and I was wondering if I drop the course before January 13th if the marks I received in the first term would count towards my GPA, I was basically looking to drop this full year course and take a Jan-April course for the second half of the year.

Answer: Hey! If you drop a full year course between now and February 13 you will receive a W for both sections of the course. You can double check this information in the following webpage, in the section titled "Full Year Course Withdrawals": http://www.smu.ca/academics/course-withdrawal-dates-and-deadlines.html . However make sure you drop it before January 12 so you will not be charged tuition for the second term half of the course.
