Question: Hello, i am the third-year student with 60 credits in smu and doing on finance major. I also want to get a economic major in smu. Therefore, My question is how many extra credits if i want to get an economic major as my double major. And I knew that these two majors have the same courses in the first and second year ( where i already have finished). And also these two majors have some common required courses in third and fourth year, such 3361, 3480 and 4489.

Answer: Hello! If you take a look at the economics major information and the finance major information, you appear to have plenty of space to take all of the required courses, without needing to take any extra credits. I recommend you speak to your academic advisor, to plan the best way to ensure you take all the right courses to achieve your double major.
