Question: Hi! I just wanted to know about the diversity among the student body at SMU. Also, i'm interested in learning french and Spanish, are any clubs or foreign language electives?

Answer: Saint Mary's University international student population represents over 115 countries so there is definitely a lot of diversity at Saint Mary's. In addition, there are different societies such as the Caribbean, African and Bangladeshi societies to name a few that hold regular events in order to bring all students together. At SMU, there are many foreign language electives ranging from Spanish, French and even Chinese and German. There is also the opportunity to study abroad where students have the chance to understand the culture behind the language and improve their communication skills in that language.
