Student Discipline Code
The Director of Student Services is responsible for the non-academic discipline of all full and part time students at Saint Mary's University. Students are expected to exhibit behaviors on and off campus that are reflective of both the values of the University and the community in which it exists. Our students' primary focus is to study at the University while following rules, policies and regulations. Deviations of these are dealt with through the Student Discipline Code which holds students accountable for their decisions and resulting behaviors. Education and the modification of behaviors that are unacceptable are also part of the Code. Violations of academic policies are not dealt with in the Code but through the University Academic Calendar. Students disciplined under the Student Discipline Code will be notified in writing of complaints brought against them and required to attend a hearing of the Student Disciplinary Board.
