January 2, 2009 University Reopens.
January 5, 2009 Classes Resume.
January 14, 2009

Last day for registering in a three (3) credit hour courses (i.e., designated .2).

Last day for final payment of second semester tuition fees.

January 15, 2009 Last day for withdrawal, without academic penalty, from six (6) credit hour courses (i.e., designated .0) taught over both semesters (Reference: Academic Regulations 16).
February 16-21, 2009 WINTER BREAK - No Classes.
March 13, 2009 Last day for withdrawal, without academic penalty, from three (3) credit hour courses (i.e., designated .2) and from six (6) credit hour courses (i.e., designated .0) taught only in the second semester (Reference: Academic Regulations 16).
April 7, 2009 Last day of classes in second semester.
April 8, 2009 Study Day.
April 9, 2009 Start of formal examination in three (3) credit hour courses (i.e. designated .2) and in six (6) credit hour courses (i.e., designated .0).
April 10, 2009 Good Friday - University Closed.
April 13, 2009 Examinations resume but administrative offices closed.
April 27, 2009 End of formal examinations and end of second semester. Note: Subject to chang should it not be possible to schedule all formal examinations in the designated time frame.
May 4, 2009 Classes begin for Summer Session 1.
May 8, 2009 Last day for registering or changing 7 week courses.
May 18, 2009 Victoria Day Holiday - No Classes.
May 20, 2009 Last day to withdraw, without academic penalty, from courses taught over the 1st 3.5 weeks.
May 22, 2009 Spring convocations, 2009 at Halifax Metro Centre (tentative).
June 3, 2009 Last day for registering or changing courses taught over the 2nd 3.5 weeks,
June 4, 2009 Last day to withdraw, without academic penalty, from courses taught over 7 weeks.
June 15, 2009 Last day to withdraw, without academic penalty, from courses taught over the 2nd 3.5 weeks.
June 19, 2009 Summer Session 1 concludes.
July 6, 2009

Classes begin for Summer Session 2.

Last day for filing applications for degrees diplomas, and certificates to be awarded at Fall Convocation 2009.

July 22, 2009 Last day to withdraw, without academic penalty, from courses taught over the 1st 3.5 weeks.
July 29, 2009 Classes begin for courses taught in the 2nd 3.5 weeks.
August 3, 2009 Civic Holiday. University closed.
August 4, 2009 Last day for registering or changing courses taught over the 2nd 3.5 weeks.
August 6, 2009 Last day to withdraw, without academic penalty, from courses taught over 7 weeks.
August 17, 2009 Last day to withdraw, without academic penalty, from courses taught over the 2nd 3.5 weeks.
August 21, 2009 Summer Session 2 concludes.
