This guide is aimed at undergraduate university students faced with the frequent task of writing essays, term papers or reports.
This is not a comprehensive manual covering the intricacies of research, writing and formatting. A list of such manuals is provided at the end of this guide. Nor will this guide make you an instant expert in accessing the many resources of the Patrick Power Library. Please visit the Library's Online Tutorials for guidance.
It is hoped, however, that this guide will:
Provide a rough guide to the various processes that combine to produce a quality essay.
Alert you to some of the resources and services available at the library and beyond.
Ease anxieties you may have if writing university level papers for the first time.
