Wireless Access on Campus

Saint Mary's University is pleased to announce that wireless network access is now available in certain "hot spots" on campus. This page will provide you with hot spot locations and a list of links to drivers that you may need in order to get your wireless card running. More campus wireless coverage is planned, so be sure to check back often for new hot spots!

To get wireless Internet on your laptop computer, you will require:

  • a laptop with wireless card,
  • Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or Windows 2000 with SP2, or Windows Vista, and
  • a Saint Mary's University computer account.

Step 1: Set up your wireless card.
Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Macintosh

Step 2: Register your computer for wireless access on campus.

  • Open an Internet browser window. This should take you to the Registration Page.
  • If it does not, type “netreg” in the browser address line.
  • Enter your s# and password.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the Computer Usage Policy and press Accept.
  • Restart your computer. You should now be able to browse the Internet.
