International Internships
Saint Mary’s International Youth Internship Program is an exciting way to put into practice and build on the knowledge and skills that you have gained in the classroom by becoming engaged in an overseas work placement.
Since 1997 over 200 young Canadians have stepped out into the world through this program, supported by existing partnerships between Saint Mary’s University and organizations in 38 countries.
By participating in Saint Mary's University's International Internship Program you will:
- Gain international experience and achieve personal development goals
- Develop and enhance problem solving, organizational and communications skills which will make you attractive to future employers
- Establish contacts for networking and identify opportunities for future employment
- Benefit from the full range of Saint Mary’s support services –- including a pre-departure orientation, assistance with your travel and visa arrangements, ongoing support throughout your work placement through regular contact, assistance for your post-placement employment search, and a debriefing session upon your return to Canada
