1st Place: John Sime, France
This is a photo of the cratered battlefields at Vimy Ridge in France . You can see the dips and bumps still in the ground from World War 1. It was quite an interesting feeling to be standing there, it was a beautiful sunny day but there was something cold about the forest and this picture shows it.

2nd Place: Justine Daoust, China
Mt. Lushan in China 's southern province of Jiangxi , only a short bus from the provincial capital of Nanchang . Mt. Lushan is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its history as "one of the spiritual centres of Chinese civilization."
