Work on the $26 million infrastructure upgrade to the 57year-old McNally Building is winding down, but there will still be some inconveniences into 2011 as workers complete renovation efforts in south end of the building and along the basement corridor.
“There are times that it has been noisy and dusty and difficult to get around, but staff faculty and students have taken it all in stride,” says President J. Colin Dodds. “When you see the activity in the new Global Arts Commons or hear students talking about the improvements in the classroom, it is clear the inconvenience has been worth it.”
Much of the work has been videotaped or photographed. A slide show sampling of some of the pictures are attached to this release, but a full website with videos, historic photos and interviews with students, both past and present, is under construction and should be available for viewing early in the new year.
