OUR MISSION

Working in partnership with members of the university community, the Office of Public Affairs builds public understanding of, and support for, Saint Mary's University in Halifax.

Through a university-wide public relations effort, Public Affairs helps the university forge mutually beneficial relationships with individuals and organizations vital to the university’s growth and development.

Public Affairs brings public relations perspectives and strategies into university decision-making and planning.

It provides expertise and services that improve the quality and effectiveness of the university’s communications projects and programs.

Above all, Public Affairs fosters an environment of open and honest communication aimed at building trust and credibility with the university’s key internal and external stakeholders.
