Saint Mary's
at a Glance
Since its founding in 1802, Saint Mary's developed
into a modern, urban university with more than 7,500 full and part-time
students. It is the oldest English-speaking, Roman Catholic initiated
university in Canada.
Saint Mary's has inherited from its predecessors, a strong commitment
to meeting community needs and an equally strong tradition of emphasizing
excellence in teaching and research.

it best when they talk about the spirit of the Saint Mary's community
and school pride, the quality of the programs, and the individual
attention received. Saint Mary's ranked in the top five categories
of leaders of tomorrow, best overall and most innovative in Maclean's
