Centre for Academic and Instructional
Development
Quality
of Teaching Committee
The Quality of Teaching Committee
was established in 1988 by Saint Mary’s University
Senate to highlight teaching at the university and to
assist faculty in the enhancement
of their instructional methods.
The Committee is comprised of ten to fourteen faculty and
university representatives who, in the past, have given
freely of their time to such Committee activities as the
publication of a newsletter, the offering of workshops and
lunch time discussion sessions, the awarding of innovative
teaching grants, etc.
The Centre for Academic and Instructional Development (CAID) was established
to support and expand on the work of the Committee and now
works in consultation with the Committee.
