Internationalizing Saint Mary’s

Everyone has a role to play!

Friday, May 24th   9:00am – 12:30pm.
AT 101 and Burke Lobby

Saint Mary’s is a university leader, regionally and nationally, in recruiting international students from around the world into our academic programs. This has the potential to create rich learning and intercultural experiences across campus for international students, domestic students, faculty and staff alike. It can also create many challenges. How do we realize the benefits of being an internationalized campus, and how do we understand and address the challenges?  What role do you play?

Faculty, Staff and Students are invited to participate in a fun and thought provoking half-day session on internationalizing Saint Mary’s.

We’ll begin with an energetic presentation by the keynote speaker, Paul Kurucz. Following a mid-morning break, we’ll participate in interactive roundtable discussions (World Café), feedback and closing remarks.  ISS Poster

New Faculty Orientation

Each year, the Centre for Academic and Instructional Development (CAID) and the Senate Committee on Learning and Teaching welcome new faculty to campus with New Faculty Orientation.  Orientation events are held over two days late in August.

New Faculty Network

2013 / 2014

New Faculty Network is a special interest group for new full and part-time faculty and a follow-up program to New Faculty Orientation. Sessions are designed to provide you with an informal, relaxing opportunity to "talk teaching" with your colleagues, to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and learn about strategies to assist you through your first year at Saint Mary's.
