Getting Around Halifax
Employment Centre (4th floor, Student Centre)
Students with disabilities who are supported by the Atlantic Centre typically share the dream of securing meaningful employment and becoming financially independent after meeting the challenges of pursuing a higher education. The Centre has made a commitment to assisting these students by assigning staff to help them with securing both summer jobs and employment positions after they graduate. An employment counsellor with the student employment office of the university specializes in working with students with disabilities and also with prospective employers.
