Student Loan and other Funding
Student Loan
Canada and your provincial governments offer student loans to cover the costs of going to university or college. There is one application for both the Canada and provincial/territorial student loans. Applying online is this is the quickest way to apply. The NEADS financial aid portal contains information about each province
These grants (formerly Special Opportunity Grants) provide funding for special equipment, tutors, interpreters, attendants, or technology. Unlike student loans, these grants do not have to be paid back. Your counsellor will refer you to the Disability Resource Facilitator, Kim Penny, who can help you access grant funding. The NEADS financial portal is a great place to learn about grants
You can find information on funding for students with permanent disabilities at the government website. On the website click on Students with Permanent Disabilities
