Support for Students with Disabilities

Disabilities Accommodation
All students are expected to display acquisition of the requisite course content of their programs. To achieve this, students with disabilities may utilize accommodations to minimize or eliminate disadvantages their disability may present. Accommodations are unique to each individual and guided by confidential documentation that the student provides. If it is agreed that special arrangements will be needed, a disability counsellor will provide a letter for the student to review with their instructor. This letter will verify the student's status as a person with a disability, and list the specific accommodations requested for that particular class. The student and their course instructor can seek assistance from The Atlantic Centre to help facilitate these recommendations with professors. Additionally, students may require support to facilitate equal access with participation in the full range of university experiences.
