Mission statement: The Saint Mary’s University Institutional Repository, a project of the Patrick Power Library, is a one-stop-shop to collect, store, and provide access to the digital resources created by our university community. This includes faculty papers, departmental publications, and the digital collections held by the library and archives. This project makes it easier for the world to find these collections, and acts as a showcase for the kind of high-level research undertaken at Saint Mary’s, both currently and in the past.

Terms of Reference:

1. The Institutional Repository is designed to showcase the scholarly output of Saint Mary's University. This is defined as material created by academic staff, students, and University departments.

2. Material should be in a digital format, and organized in such a way that it is appropriate for the repository structure. The repository is not an online database.

3. New collections or communities for the repository will be evaluated by the Institutional Repository committee of the Patrick Power Library. They will be evaluated based on the appropriateness to the repository, as well as the resources needed to add the material.

4. Except where noted, copyright in any material found in the repository is maintained by the original creator and is used here with permission.
