Ramesh Venkat, PhD

Ramesh VenkatRamesh Venkat is the Director of the David Sobey Centre for Innovation in Retailing and Services. He has over 20 years of executive teaching and coaching experience. He has designed and taught graduate courses in brand management, CRM and omni-channel retailing. He has been a full-time faculty member in the Marketing Department at Saint Mary's University since 1992.

Ramesh has a PhD in Marketing from the University of British Columbia and an MBA in Information Systems and Marketing from Simon Fraser University. He created the first graduate level "Internet Marketing" course in Canada in 1995. He is the author of 2 books: Canadian E-Marketing: A Strategic Approach (McGraw-Hill) and The Engaged Brand. (Springer).

Ramesh has provided consulting services to numerous private and public sector organizations, including the government. He previously was Chief Analytics Officer at Cleanmetrics, a company focused on carbon emission reduction and energy efficiency. He is the Founder/CEO of CeQuotia, a company which provides customer insights from analytics for retail and service companies.
