The Directors Education Program (DEP) — jointly developed by the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto — is the most definitive course of study for board directors in Canada. The Sobey School of Business is pleased to collaborate on this initial Halifax offering.
You can expect a highly interactive 12‐day program of roundtable discussions, real‐time case studies, and on‐point insights from leading governance experts. The DEP allows experienced directors to build on their expertise, fine-tune skills for around the boardroom table, and strengthen their capacity to create and protect value for their organizations. In your quest to be a better director, it will help you clarify your mission and fully exercise your director potential.
This program is completed in four three‐day modules. It connects you to an extended network of leading directors who are bringing better governance to Canada and its communities.
Completing the Directors Education Program is the first step in attaining the ICD.D designation granted by the Institute of Corporate Directors, the professional body representing the director community in Canada.
"The Directors Education Program addresses the challenges faced by directors in a relevant and engaging way. The combination of world class faculty and diverse, talented participants makes the DEP a must for any director interested in enhancing their boardroom skills. I recommend it without reservation."
