Convocation Checklist

  • Declare your major.
  • Apply to graduate‌ before the deadline.
  • If you are unable to attend the convocation ceremony, you must submit an Application to Graduate in Absentia.
  • Check your program requirements to make sure you are eligible to graduate. Changing or dropping courses in your final term may affect your graduation status.
  • After you apply to graduate, if you receive a letter indicating a problem with your application, contact the Service Centre to resolve the issue.
  • All marks/requirements, including thesis and courses taken on Letter of Permission, are due no later than:
    • Fall Convocation : September 1st
    • January Convocation: January 1st
    • May Convocation: May 1st
  • Check the Potential Graduates List to make sure your name, hometown and degree are correct.
  • Check your convocation schedule.
  • Pick up your invitations, Dean’s card and academic regalia in the Gown Room. After the graduation ceremony, return your regalia.
  • If you no longer plan to graduate, submit an Withdrawal of Application for Graduation.
