The Certificate in Health, Wellness and Sport in Society (CHWSS) is an interdisciplinary certificate administered by the Faculty of Arts in collaboration with the Centre for the Study of Sport and Health.

The Certificate is designed for students who wish to improve their knowledge of the social study of health, wellness and sport in their social context.

It encompass a set of questions that engage the social, cultural, political and moral aspects of health, wellness and sport. The certificate will be attractive to students from all three faculties and is well suited to the interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary scope of the programme.

Admission Requirements

ü  registration in a Bachelor degree program

ü  completion of a minimum of 9 credit hours but not more than 30 credit hours
at time of application

ü  minimum GPA of 2.3 (C+)

ü  statement of intent 

 

                                              Application Deadline: April 15th

The above requirements are minimum standards only and admission is on a competitive basis for a limited number students.

Formal admission is with the successful completion of a minimum of 18 credit hours but less than 30 credit hours with a GPA of 2.3 (C+) and declared major.

Note: This HWSS certificate is a credential in addition to the degree major.
