
Policy Change - Please read
New policy has been implemented at the Writing Centre.
All student writing centre appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
Failure to appear for a booked appointment will result in a block of access to the centre's services and a $10.00 cancellation fee will be charged. Failure to pay this fee may result in a withholding of transcripts.
Cancelation fee payment is made through Banner.
Blocks may be lifted by contacting the director, Brian Hotson, at writing@smu.ca.
This policy was developed due to the large number of 'no show' appointments and is in keeping with other academic writing centres' policies.
