Information for International Applicants

  • Transcripts: Only original transcripts sent directly from your previous university can be accepted. Photocopies mailed by the applicant without original signatures of university authorities are not acceptable.


  • TOEFL and English Skills: If you are from a country where the first language is not English, you must submit an official TOEFL, CanTest or IELTS score. We require at least 237 on TOEFL, with an Essay Rating of 5.0 or above. We require CanTest scores of at least 4.5, with no individual component score (oral communication, listening, reading and writing) below 4.0. We require IELTS scores must be 6.5 with no band below 6.5. TOEFL, CanTest or IELTS scores must be less than two years old. Meeting the minimum test standards does not guarantee admission to the program.


  • References: Two reference letters are required. Referees must be professors or superiors at work, who have known you for at least six months. They cannot be friends or relatives. Referees must submit the letter directly to our Admissions Office. Reference letters must be written on official letterhead and a business card must be attached. If you are not able to have an academic reference please submit two work related references.


  • Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $70 is required.


  • Application Deadlines: April 1st is the deadline for International Applicants. Applicants from China must apply by January 31st. Your file must be complete by this date. The early deadline is intended to allow Chinese applicants enough time for visa processing. We encourage you to submit your applications earlier.

We encourage all international applicants to courier information to ensure prompt delivery. We will courier all international acceptance letters in order to allow applicants time to obtain visas.
