Michael Zhang received his PhD in Management Science from Richard Ivey School of Business, the University of Western Ontario. He has been working as a full time faculty member in the department of Finance, Information Systems and Management Science at Saint Mary’s University since 2005. He also has a master degree in Financial Economics and a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. He teaches operation management and management science courses for EMBA, MBA and undergraduate students. His research centers on price optimization, bargaining power, and other breakthrough innovations in operations. He is actively pursuing many projects in collaboration with other researchers in healthcare, knowledge transfer and sustainability. He is one of the faculty members in Sobey School of Business awarded research grant from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada recently. He is currently supervising a post-doc fellow and two master students in management science. He serves for Sobey MBA council, Faculty Research Council and many other professional committees.
