Arun K. Mukhopadhyay joined Saint Mary's University in 1979, having received his Ph.D. from Brown University, USA, and is a full professor in the Department of Economics since 1992. The major field of his research is in the area of Industrial Economics, with focus on market structure in relation to technological change. His publications include articles on technological change and market structure, various issues on profit sharing, national accounting of household output, issues of time poverty, and household saving behavior.

Currently, he teaches courses on international economic issues, economics and policy in the global context, and intermediate macroeconomics.
