Martha MacDonald (Ph.D.) has been at Saint Mary's since 1982. She is a Professor in the Economics Department and is also active in the Women's Studies and Atlantic Canada Studies programmes. She has been a Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University and a Public Policy Fellow at Radcliffe College. Her research has been funded by SSHRC, HRDC, CIHR, the Donner Canadian Foundation and IDRC. She was awarded the John Vanderkaamp Prize for the best paper published in Canadian Public Policy in 2001 (with Shelley Phipps and Fiona MacPhail) and is an Associate Editor of the journal Feminist Economics.
