Karen has been a member of the department of accounting since 1996. First as a part-time instructor from 1996 - 1999 and as a full-time instructor since 1999. She has completed her Ph.D. concerning the risk management strategies of Canadian public and private firms. With the support of the Accounting Education Foundation of Nova Scotia, Karen along with Dr. Jeff Power launched the Accounting Case Institute. This Web based case dissemination platform is accessible through www.accountingcases.ca.
