Professor Kozloski joined the faculty of the Sobey School of Business in 2009. His teaching interests include financial accounting, auditing, assurance, and forensic accounting and auditing. He has received a number of teaching awards in recognition of his efforts in the classroom. In 2011, Professor Kozloski was named Commerce Professor of the Year in the Sobey School of Business.

Professor Kozloski’s research interests are in the area of judgment and decision-making in accounting and auditing. His research has been presented at conferences in Canada, the United States, and Europe, and he has published in various scholarly journals, including Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Accounting Horizons, the Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting, and Current Issues in Auditing. In 2008, Professor Kozloski and his co-authors won the American Accounting Association / Deloitte Wildman Medal for a significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of accounting.

Prior to his university teaching and research career, Professor Kozloski worked for large international accounting and consulting firms as an auditor providing financial statement auditing services to a wide range of clients, and then as a consultant to financially troubled companies and their creditors, and to law firms engaged in complex business litigation. Prior to his business career, he was an officer in the United States Army, serving in line and staff positions in armor units in the Republic of Korea and the continental United States.

Professor Kozloski holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Drexel University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with high honors) from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania in the United States.
