Paul Dixon has been with the University for 25 years, during which time he has held a number of posts including Department Chairperson, Associate Dean, Acting MBA Director and most recently Dean of Commerce (1996-2002). During the decade preceding administrative service, he published in the leading management science journals and maintained continuous funding through the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council. In 1993 and 1997 he was named Professor of the Year by the Saint Mary's Commerce Society.
