Maryam Dilmaghani is Assistant Professor of Economics at Saint Mary's University. She joined the Economics Department in 2010, she taught in 2009-2010 at Mount Allison University. Maryam is also a research fellow at CIRANO; a Montreal based Advanced Research Institute in Economics and Finance. Before receiving her M.Sc. from University of Montreal in 2004, and her PhD from McGill University in 2011 (both in economics), she obtained graduate degrees in Law and Law and Economics from University of Montpellier, France. Her research interests include the economics of religion, behavioural and social economics and applied econometrics. Her present research investigates the relationship between religiosity and labour market outcomes as well as self-reported subjective wellbeing. She also works on a theoretical investigation of the interaction between social influence and economic institutions.
