David is a chartered accountant ( CA· IT ) specialist in Information Technology, holds an MBA (Dal) and attended AACSB MIS Faculty Development programs at the University of Indiana. He joined the Department of Accounting at SMU in 1980. Over the last 20 years he has taught numerous MIS courses and professional development seminars to undergraduate, graduate, professional and executive audiences. David has held administrative positions as Associate Dean and EMBA Director in the Faculty of Commerce. David has served on a number of professional organizations and is a past president of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA). In 2000 he co-authored MIS for the Information Age , 1st Canadian Edition, McGraw-Hill.
