Yigit Aydede is Assistant Professor of Economics at Saint Mary's University. He joined the Economics Department in 2007 and was previously teaching at the University of Windsor . He is also a research fellow at Networks Financial Institute at the Indiana State University . Before receiving his MBA degree in 2004 and his PhD degree in economics in 2006, both from the University of Delaware, USA, he had held various top managerial positions in top multinational banking and insurance companies. His research interests include the economics of aging, social security, public finance, and applied microeconomics. His present research investigates generational fairness of public policies and the effects of unfunded social security systems on macro economic dynamics and labor force participation.
