Programs
Major
Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary program, drawing upon courses from departments in the Faculty of Science, as well as those in Arts and Business. As such, students fulfill the breadth requirements of the Bachelor of Science (regulations 6c and 6e) implicitly within the major requirements.
Double Major or Dual Degree
With the approval of the department involved, students may pursue a double major program in Environmental Studies and any one of the following science subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology or Geology/Geography. Alternatively, students can, with the approval of the department involved, pursue a dual degree in Environmental Studies and another subject in the Faculties of Arts or Commerce. Students should consult the Faculty of Science regulations as outlined in the Academic Calendar.
Honours or Double Honours
For the Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Environmental Studies, students must, satisfy the requirements for a major, complete ENVS 4599.0 Honours Research Project and achieve a degree GPA of at least 3.00
Those students accepted into the Honours Program have at their disposal a program guide to help them meet the requirements in completing and producing their thesis manuscript. It is recommended that those accepted into the Honours Program refer to this guide regularly ensuring that they are up-to-date and are meeting the deadline dates noted in the guide. Minor in Environmental Studies
Students may combine a minor in Environmental Studies with a major in another discipline as part of a Bachelor of Arts or Commerce degree. Completion of the minor requires thirty (30) credit hours with a minimum grade of C from the Minor in Environmental Studies requirements .
Co-op Option
Students may enroll in the Co-operative Education Program provided the minimum requirements specified in the Co-operative Education Section of the Academic Calendar are met.

Those pursuing a B.Sc. in Environmental Studies from any one of the above Program of Study areas may wish to use the following "Student Advising Sheets" (also in consultation with the Program Coordinator, or designate) to facilitate in course selections ensuring program requirements are met.
