Winners of the 2013 Mobile App Contest
Saint Mary's First-Ever Mobile App Contest Winners Announced

After a grueling period of coding, designing, and brainstorming, both team finalists of Saint Mary's Mobile App Contest recently presented their mobile application prototypes for final judging.

After careful deliberation, Team SMMAPPS was declared the winner of Phase Two and awarded the Grand Prize: iPad minis and one-course tuition waivers.

Competition in the development phase of the contest was tough, and both teams presented stellar mobile app designs and concepts. The judging panel would like to thank both teams for their hard work and ingenuity.

Geologist Dr. Jacob Hanley named GAC's HS Robinson Lecturer

Geology professor Dr. Jacob Hanley has been selected as the 2013-2014 Howard Street Robinson Medal Lecturer by the Geological Assocation of Canada (GAC).

This medal enables a respected and well-spoken geoscientist to further the scientific study of Precambrian geology and/or metal mining through a series of lectures across Canada.
