undergraduate education and research, and am excited about the opportunity to further strengthen our work in these areas.The coming year promises to be an exciting time, and a time of change as the campus continues to go through a period of renewal. The last five years have been very exciting for the Faculty and its students. An extensive addition and renovation to the existing Science Building has provided state-of-the-art teaching and research space. The Atrium is a true jewel in the Saint Mary's crown. This building provides new teaching and student interaction space, along with space to house the Astronomy and Physics faculty and their research, as well as offices dedicated to collaborative research projects and outreach to the community.
The Saint Mary's Faculty of Science is dedicated to engaging students in cutting edge research, and taking that research out into the community. A degree in Science at Saint Mary's is not just an education in your discipline; it is a journey that prepares you to be a leading citizen in the new millennium.
