Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research

For Partners

The ILO is your point of contact whether you are a company looking to establish a research partnership, or a research contract or agreement (as opposed to grant) between Saint Mary's and a government or non-profit organization.

When it comes time to formally sign agreements, you should know that individual faculty members, department chairs and deans do not have the corporate authority to sign any agreements. The Industry Liaison Office is able to facilitate having the agreement signed properly on behalf of the university after review.

We have the researchers, students, and services that can meet your business needs, whether you are looking to:

  • reduce technical or financial risk on a new venture,
  • gain access to highly specialized facilities,
  • license new technologies or
  • attract highly skilled people to your organization.

How can you find a Saint Mary's expert in your field?  You can always contact us at the Industry Liaison Office (ILO). Our staff would be pleased to help you find the right person and facilitate an introduction.  You can also check the Research Expertise Database by clicking the link in the menu on the left.
