Centre for Environmental Analysis and Remediation (CEAR) - Instrumentation

CEAR is a multipurpose, centralized instrumental facility which serves students and researchers of Saint Mary’s science community by providing access to fundamental tools needed in modern research. The Centre is equipped with technology suitable for chemical analysis in the areas of chromatography, mass spectrometry and elemental analyses. This instrumentation is accessible to all members of the University community:

• Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS)

• Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS)

• Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP/MS)

• Capillary Electrophoresis/Mass Spectrometry (CE/MS)

• Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen Analyzer (CHN)
