Executive & Professional Development

NEW      Social Media Business Basics

This two day seminar is an introduction to social media and how to use it to manage and enhance your business. The popularity and use of the Internet has played a fundamental role in the growth of social media tools and, as a result, has introduced important new platforms on which effective communication and marketing strategies are now built. Understanding social media tools and how they can be used to enhance and support business goals is an important step for any forward-thinking business.

Social media is an increasingly popular method of generating messages, advertising products and services, communicating upcoming events, and building a brand. With so many social media options to choose from, it’s important for businesses to understand which applications are right for them. This workshop is intended as an introduction to social media applications. It will take a practical and applicable approach to introducing you to the value of four specific platforms.

Each of these applications, their individual use, and how they differ from traditional approaches to communication and marketing will be explored. The course will provide participants the ability to make strategic decisions about which applications to use and, if appropriate, how to phase in additional applications over time. Ultimately, you will learn the basics of these four tools, why social media is important to your bottom line and how to decide which tools are right for your business. Participants can also choose to have further one-on-one coaching with each of the instructors, see below for details.
