Religious Studies

“Studying religions in relationship to their cultural settings today and in the past” is a good definition for Religious Studies. Our courses range from the international to the local. They introduce students to world religions, issues such as comparative ethics, love and death, religions in a multicultural society like Canada, and the debate about religion and science. The department teaches students how to do field work and use other methodologies to study religion.. Best of all, in company with other programmes in the Arts, Religious Studies courses could change your life by opening it to new ways of thinking and to life directions you never dreamed were possible.
